Default 10-40 semi synthetic oil in d24

hi all i have been putting millers xfe oil in my d24 for last 185000miles at 5000 miles oil change and filter is this ok for the long term of my 940 tdi 1995

I know of someone who uses Mobil1 synthetic and changes it at 10,000 miles without any problems. I use Valvoline 15W40 diesel oil in both my D24T and my Ford F-250 7.3 liter International engine.

I use 15w40 Rotella T6 in my TDI Jetta with 10k changes, was planning on using the same oil in my 745, but I haven't done much searching on here as far as oil goes, can't see any reason why it wouldn't be ok.
