Rack and pinion reseal
Anyone messed with resealing the rack and pinion on a 760? Mine is leaking horribly from one of the sides. I found a seal kit on rock auto.. Just wondering if it's something worth messing with or am I better off just buying a rebuilt unit.

If the leak is the only problem with it I would try resealing it. Have to make sure which rack it is to get the right parts. IIRC there are 2 or 3 possibilities? Cam, TRW, or ZF.

Only options for seal kits I found was ZF or cam. Not sure how to tell the difference though..

This might help:
Rack Identification Theoretically you should be able to substitute one mfr for another but the hydraulic hose hookups are not necessarily in the same locations/angles.
