Default Rear qtr glass for 740/760

As the title says, I'm looking for the rear quarter glass (piece behind the back door) for a 740/760 sedan. Looking for both sides..

Seems like those hardly ever break? What happened?

You could also check on turbobricks classified section, put up a request in the WTB section.

Out here in PNW we still get 7xx in the pick-a-part yards, I will have to check.

Car took a beating in a tornado. Haven't seen any 7xx series Volvos at any of the yards around here in quite some time. I did look around on T bricks but didn't see any listed. May put up a want to buy ad on there but figured I'd try here first.

I have a 760 sedan parts car I got last year that's a turd, but the glass is all OK! https://d24t.com/showthread.php?t=2197

The rear quarter windows are all yours if you want them. Not sure how to get them removed without damage though. I will look into it.

I think the taillights are in OK shape too, will check those. Any other body stuff yours will need? I don't plan to keep much off this car after I harvest the drivetrain from it. The paint is toast and the interior is pretty much destroyed, sun damage.

One of the neighbors frequents the local JYs. I'll see if he is interested in fishing these out on his next visit there.

Look what else turned up:

(had to laugh at their confused description-- "2.4L V6 DOHC 16V TURBO DIESEL"

I just removed one of what's left of a window today. After you pull the trim off they will need to be removed with one of those steel cable deals you use to cut a windshield out I expect. They are glued in. I found a decent deal on new tail lights so I ordered them already.

DOHC would be nice, but how do you get 16 valves in a 6 cylinder engine?

Hardly ever see a diesel at the junkyard anymore. Looks like the car is getting picked but not much taken under the hood judging by that picture? Wonder if anything there is worth saving -- vac pump, fuel system parts, turbo manifolds, etc. Maybe the glow plug relay if it's the updated late style part number. Maybe the engine harness if it's a replacement...? Radiator?

I wonder what they charge for a complete motor these days.

Doesn't sound too bad. There's a mobile glass guy I have used here before who does a good job. I need him to come over and put a windshield in my old beater Jetta TDI anyway so maybe can see if he could get those out at that time too, unless you find something quicker.

Not sure about that particular JY but at the kind of near JY to that one:

Guy on turbo bricks said he'd look at them when he "gets time" but thats kinda open ended. I'd like to get this thingnon the road but I need windows. Just got some of the lights working tonight and lenses replaced. Quite a bit of baked wiring in the engine compartment for such a Low mile car. Will take some time to get that up to snuff.

George I also need some window trim and a rear view mirror if that car has one that's not broke..
