Default oil pump losing prime ongoing.

ive been given help and hints regarding the above issue including running an extra 2qts of oil in the pan. Overnight upon startup im looking at 45 secs for the light to go out. I even feel the engine note change once the lights go out. Repeated startups during the day are ok no isssues. Oil pressure test gauge confirms.

Ive researched these oil pumps with cross ref and ask if any of these work on 84 engine

This is my research. Most can be purchased overseas however Id like to be sure.

Are the VW mk1 LT 2.4d pumps the same ?

Note. The pumps Im looking at photowise are those that show an idler pulley in the photos. The oil pickup to pump body looks oval ratrher than circular, which may be the way the photo was taken.

TIA

Not sure on any of those P/N's but from pictures all look like possible fits. The thing to be sure of is to have one that is
1) for a turbo engine (higher volume to feed the turbo and piston squirters)
2) has the idler roller friction fit into a recess not flat fit

Mk1 LT 2.4L engine is the same as the D24 family so a pump for an LT would for sure work -- but again it should be for a turbo engine, not NA.
