Default Coolant flow d2.4t

Trying to figure coolant flow using this engine. 1. Does the coolant leave the block thermostat thru the lower rad hose to return thru the rad upper hose to the head, or vis versa. where does the head rear nipple and block nipple rear attach to?

The hot water leaves the engine through the upper hose into the radiator to cool. That very long lower hose feeds the engine with the "refreshed" coolant.

The hose nipple at the rear of the cylinder head connects to the oil cooler. The hose nipple at the rear of the engine block connects to the upper heater core.
