Ha! Looks great! I've had a couple of D24s in the back of one of my 740 wagons before, but I never would have tried hauling a motor in the trunk of a sedan... Looks like it worked out all right. You scored with a D24TIC... hydraulic head, tropical fan clutch, true oil cooler, TIC intake manifold... I want it!

unfortunatly the engine that i bought isn't a hydrolic head i think because it's 1990 and according to the VADIS volvo start putting hydrolic heads since 1993 in 900 series and i don't know if it's write .... and about the engine in the trunk i drove with it 200km back home and thank god everything goes great.

engine in trunk
Those engines are usually not found that clean on this side of the pond. Last one I bought was a D24 N/A with that crunchy diesel-saturated-soot patina. Had to get the pressure washer "up close and personal' to get that crud off. And there was evidence of a mouse or chipmunk nest between the IP and the valve cover. But I only paid $95- no tranny but all the front end belt-driven accessories were included.
Looks a little weird caddy-cornered in your trunk like that. But I guess that was a better choice than the roof rack. Good luck. |

hi
well hopefully the engine was great but damn the fuel pump has fail i don't know how but in the first time it looks so newww so clean anyway am know i still need an d24tic inlet manifold because the one with the engine is broken and an intercooler and of course am going to rebuild the fuel pump because they told me that the d24t fuel pump not like the one in a d24tic !!!!! is it ? i mean is it normale to put a d24t fuel pump in a d24tic engine with ?? but as i say the engine was so great hopefully . by the way anyone have an OEM 700 series intercooler those thing are not available in my country.

The T and Tic pump should be the same. The non turbo d24 pump is different in that it doesn't have the afc housing on top. From what I hear, the stock volvo intercoolers are nothing to get excited about, and don't hold much boost. Have you considered using a new intercooler off ebay or something of that nature? They are cheap, and work pretty well I think. Temp differential across my intercooler was a good 75 degrees, and it has held 25psi with no problem.
