I tried two winters ago to find replacement parts for my 760 after the over-axle pipe broke in two (luckily nothing made contact with the ground).

I ordered what were supposed to be direct fit replacements from FCP, Starla brand, but they didn't fit at all, poor quality and nowhere close to the right mounting locations. After that, I gave up and just put a turn-down ahead of the axle, eliminating the rear muffler. Not a great solution as it makes more noise than I would like.

I think a turbo gasser exhaust would work, in terms of pipe size etc, but might need some adaptation near the downpipe?

What sources have you tried? IPD used to be a good source for Volvo exhaust parts but I don't know if their support for the older legacy models is as good now.

Sources tried:

FCP
Ebay
Autozone
Rockauto

Might be time to get an aftermarket muffler and maybe a glasspack the same length as the resonator. Cut out the resonator and get the glasspack welded in its place.
