Plenty of them still running every day. Apparently there is a facebook group that is siphoning off some people who would otherwise be new members here so there is less frequent discussion than there used to be. That might be why you are noticing the old threads. New members asking questions is what creates most of the new threads and we don't get as many of those as we used to.

Of course there are fewer of the cars still around each passing year also.

But I think most of us who have been running them still are, to a greater or lesser extent, and are still enjoying them.

I'm running an '82 245 and an '82 244 D24.

The D24 Facebook group seems about as equally inactive.

I have a 1989 760 d24 turbo intercooler model I'm getting back on the road, was running for a year after it sat for 12 years in a field in alberta. Great car, it came manual from the factory. So I had to save it. No bad rust, a little in the battery tray are,and one on the passenger side rear light bezel. Blue car with blue interior. Smells fantastic. Turly a great old car. I wasnt gonna let be crushed. Hopefully wanting this car to last a long time.
