Default D24 Engine Rebuild Help

So it turns out the D24 in my 245 is siezed. I am too stubborn to just give up on it so it looks like i'll be pulling it out to get it all loosened up. While it's out I figure I might as well refresh the engine as well. I am currently planning on changing the timing belts, idler, water pump, head gasket, and piston rings. Is there anything else I should take care of while the engine is out? I've heard the bottom end of these is TOUGH so I doubt I'll tear into that.

Valve clearances? Oil pump (esp. the wear surfaces on the relief mechanism)? Suppose it all depends on what you find as the problem.

Does the regular D24 have an oil pump?

Yes they all do, that's what builds and maintains the necessary oil pressure, circulates the lubricating oil thru the lubrication system.
