Default WTB Car with d24t

I'm insearch of a running driving volvo in Iowa, Missouri or Illinois. A manual would be preferable. I'm new to this site but joined cause I figured you all could help me find one.

I don't know any off hand, but craigslist is a good place to look.
What's the budget?
Is shipping an option? I think the PNW has the most diesel volvos on the road.

Not really sure what these cars are going for. Put a few ISO adds on craigslist and a guy messaged me with 2 wagons and a sedan. One wagon was a manual and so was sedan. Claims they are rust free. What are they worth?

Are they 240's? (Non turbo)
Are they 740's? (Turbo)

A well maintained diesel Volvo in good shape with no rust can fetch $5000+
I just sold a 240 wagon I had converted to a turbo diesel for $4k, it still needs some things here and there dealt with but the buyer was happy to get his hands on a mechanically sound rust free turbo diesel Volvo wagon!

You can pick up a diesel Volvo on the cheap, but most likely it has been neglected and will need lots of $$ and time to get it back up.

I would also say 90% of the diesel cars will need an engine harness, but Dave Barton has those available for a very reasonable price.

My suggestion would be to get the body style you want to get (240/740) Sedan or wagon that is rust free, and do the repairs that are needed if mechanically inclined.

If you like the 240's but want it turbo diesel powered, it's relatively easy and fairly cheap to do ( I have converted at least 5 240's into turbo diesels).

Default WTB Car

I have a 84 760 auto sedan in Chippewa Falls, WI. Leaky fuel pump, headliner drouping in the rear. Don't drive it in the winter but start it every weekend. Also have a 85 740 parts car I have been taking apart with the 5 speed EO in it. Ran nice before I started to take it apart. $3700 for both. I can email you pics this weekend. I keep it at my cabin.

Thanks
