Rear-end ratios? Gas VS Diesel?
Did the gas models come with different gear ratios in the rear ends, specifically a 90 245. I was wondering about a gas to diesel swap. Car started life as a 1990 B230F/5 speed and is now a d24/5 speed. The owner says it looks stock but the vin checks out as it started out as a gas model. Thanks.

I think that wagon would have 3.73? The most common is 3.31 and 3.73. I think the auto diesel 240's got 3.73. My 244 has 3.31, I think 3.73 would be nice. Why?

Good to know about the auto dif... my donor is an auto and I was considering swapping the diffs into my 90 245... I'll just leave that alone (or make it a locking diff).
