Default Power Steering Pump Tuning

This is for the GM Saginaw PS pump.

Mine seems to run out of steam at low RPM, especially when cold.

The first modification (Idle/Low RPM Flow Modification) shown in this tutorial should help:

Has anyone tried this before? What were the results?

Interesting.

Wonder if a smaller pulley, if such is available, would also be a solution? Spin the pump a few % faster at low engine speed? That might produce more parasitic drag and cost some efficiency/HP though I suppose.
