OK now I see your very recent post, Flagstaff 7000ft. altitude. Your best bet would be to leave the solenoid disconnected. Give it +12VDC whenever you reach the lowlands...

Impact driver probably didn't get it. Check posts #19 and #21 in this ongoing thread for a newly found reasonably priced easily obtainable tool:
