Default Injector Testing Equipment

I found an injector tester on a Mercedes:
https://mercedessource.com/store/die...do-it-yourself

Will this work with the D24 (NA) injectors?
They told me in an email that "The metric thread size on this tester to connect to the top of the fuel injector is M12 x 1,5.”
I cannot find the thread size of the injectors in my book.

Also, what size socket is needed to remove the injectors?
Looking into this as well: https://mercedessource.com/store/die...k-instructions

Both of those should work. Don't forget the shims and heat shields.

I have a spare set of heat shields.

Do you have a link to the shims I need to get?
Also, where can I find the caps to cover the injectors so dirt doesn't get inside?

Shim kit offered from your same vendor:
https://mercedessource.com/store/var...him-washer-kit

Many well-stocked local hardware stores have rubber/plastic caps in various sizes. IIRC, the gray ones (they seem to be size/color coded) are the correct size for the injector tops. OTOH, I never seem to have the time to get those, so just use pieces of aluminum foil to cover them, pinched around the threads.
