Default Cruiser Control : how to install it?

Hello everyone!

Soo I know it's not so much D24-related. But now that I bought it....

I am talking of this weird system - if anyone could explain to me how it works, I would be really pleased to understand the physics - among being able to assemble it on the car.

I saw this on a french auctions website, and I am going to have some very long rides with my 240.
It is of course the designed model for the D24 equipped cars.

But it is a typical american option, I think none of our D24 and even gasoline old volvos came with cruise control here in Europe . So I have NO documentation about the assembly!!

Could you provide me some infos, maybe a shot from your documentation so I can drive and whistle along, and beat the crap out my brother with my right foot when he's complaining our volvo is too slow?

Thanks!

Default d24 =?= d24t cruiser setup

I`ll leave the wiring topic to someone else here but I`m glad to take&share many detailed pictures of my working cruiser setup and hose routings etc, color coded wires in my lever, fuse box and relay details if i can figure it out by looking at the car with minimal breakdown of the fourty year old brittle parts (d24t, 1985 740).

It would be nice to see pictures of your parts laid out, I`m sure it would help some.

What`s included in the `kit` you have (lever, spool, actuator etc all there?)?

((Your car is even older, i guess 1981? I wonder if those model years ever came with the cruiser in any country... i doubt... but the good news is that I`m sure you can build a cruiser out of parts of later years. Or maybe I`m wrong about saying there was no cruiser offered in the earliest d24 models.
Perhaps the diesel versions always had more extras than the gasoline brothers? (at least in Europe that was the case... and the diesel fuel was (and IS still) more expensive than petrol... so back then the new diesel cars had to have some extra honey to become sweet to purchase...
Nice you found a d24-specific cruiser/Tempomat.))

Hello RedArrow,

I would really appreciate some photos of your setup

I wouldn’t be able to answer the specs of theses options. But I saw on an American classic car sales a 82 240 GL diesel which comes with cruise control .

The cruise control setup I bought is complete, here are some photos.

Sorry, I do not recognize the equipment shown in your photos. Only familiar with CC from 7xx series.

You could try posting on turbobricks or brickboard.
