It is right. People says to me that my d24 will break down because they have had alot pressure with t3. I am think i am going to run a big turbo with alot off pressure to cool down. I think that will work good with original pump that is maxed. It will be some turbolag but i think that is cool.

Drive pressure also makes a difference. If you start really pushing alot of boost through the stocker the exhaust housing is going to become a restriction. I really feel this is why I haven't blown my head gasket yet! I'm pushing 20lbs of boost on a stock 2 notch head gasket with stock bolts. My exhaust housing is a .63 A/R stage III (3" outlet). The drive pressure is much lower than the stock turbo.

Hello hello!
Summer is over and i not even be in 1/4-mile with volvo this summer I have my new fuelpump but it didnt work like it should. I try to make better pump(again ) to next year. I need lots of more rpm! Today my volvo look like this I have "new" 18" rims too. 242 is now in "winter sleep" and i drive 245 and engine is ofcource d24t with littlebit more boost and fuel

Im kinda on board with jason with the stock manifold restriction.
I was able to push 35+psi with a GT3267 turbo with no wastegate. However it did blow the head gasket when it overheated for the 5th time? but its got over 280k. IMO its the overheating that weakened the gasket and the turbo just finished it off. |
