4th Annual Swedish Car Cruise-In, XXX Root Beer, Issaquah WA
Just copied this from OVT. I went last year and drove the 240 Diesel. Not as far as a drive for those who live in Seattle or closer.
Here is a few pics from last year February 14, 2010 “The 4th Annual Swedish Car Cruise-In” The Puget Sound Volvo Sports America Chapter will again host the 4th annual “Swedish Car Cruise-In” meet, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Sunday, President’s weekend at the 1930 original Pacific Northwest XXX Root Beer Drive-In in Issaquah, Washington. Volvo and Saab Clubs will meet again for a fun day in our NW mid-winter. Due to the increased size of this event with over 100 cars last year there will be no “People’s Choice” awards for the best “Swedish Iron” Volvo and Saab cars showing this year due to our PSVSA club’s lack of manpower to organize such a huge event. This event will return to the original idea of a “Saturday Night Cruise-In Event” on an early mid-winter Sunday morning at the historic XXX Root Beer Drive-In. Please dine on some great food from the XXX Drive-In menu and visit, and see old friends again for this car event. Gary Ramstad, Swedish Cruise-In meet club Coordinator for all Swedish car clubs with the great owners of the XXX Root Beer Drive-In. Email: ramslfp@hotmail.com., PSVSA website: http://www.psvsa.org. The XXX Root Beer Drive, 98 NE Gilman Boulevard, Issaquah, WA.98027, website: http://www.triplexrootbeer.com., and http:/issaquahhistory.org/sites/xxxdrivein.htm for information. Turn right, and change lanes ASAP to enter the far left turn lane and the left green arrow at the stop light to Gilman Boulevard. Next turn left and head east on Gilman Boulevard to take the second left turn into the Virginia Mason Hospital parking lot not the XXX Drive-In since no parking available.

It looks like a great meet. I just checked my Tomtom. It said 2841 miles from my zip, 1 day 20 hours travel time so I guess it wont be this year :-(

I almost forgot about this. I guess I better get the injectors put in the 760 so it's ready to breathe some fire by the time this meet rolls around....
I'll be there, either in the 764 or the slushbox wagon. I'll invite the guy who now owns my 245 diesel as well. Taylor/Scott what will you be bringing? Any guess on how many diesels we will have there total? Would be nice to get a good-size group together for some diesel representation so we don't get trampled by all the redblocks.

The Amazon with the black Virgos and all the stickers on it lives just around the block from where I work, at what used to be Oddvar's. I drive by it every day. They have a number of sweet old race cars around there.
