Default New Main Bearings Compatible?

The new set of Glyco (P/N: 271222) main bearings that I picked up is a "Type 1" Flanged type bearing shell.

The engine that I am currently rebuilding has "Type 2," separate thrust washers and bearing shells.

Can I replace the bearings and thrust washers in my engine with the new flanged type?

Yep, no issue at all from everything I can remember. The "flanged" bearing inserts with integrated thrust surface are dimensionally the same as the separate bearings and thrust inserts IIRC, just constructed as one piece and thus easier to use.

Every original factory-spec engine I have been inside has had the "type 2" separate pieces from the factory but the "type 1" integrated style seems to be the only thing available in aftermarket. I have always used them with no trouble.
