Default Cylinder head

Hi
We have few tdic engines under work with my son.
does somebody know difference cylinder heads
with mechanical/hydraulic valve-lifters. on the table i measuring both type lifters and hydraulic are 10mm thiker? are valves different length or? reason this question is that we would like to change hydraulic lifters to mecanical in all engines that we have. Is it even possible ?

In the usa here we never had those newer design turbodiesels so we are a little jealous of those tic motors with hydraulic lifters etc

I`ll let the other forumers answer your question.

What do you think the benefits will be when you transfer/modify as you planned?
Do you enjoy doing valve adjustments on these motors?

Can you post more information, year, model, and upload pictures maybe?
