Default Glove box light stopped working

Car in question is a 1985 740 GLE.

So today i wanted to clean the inside of the car and i wanted to start with the rectangular piece of plastic above the glove box door, took it off and noticed the glove box light switch is mounted on it (at this time i had the glove box opened and the light was working). No big deal, i simply took it off and also detached the light switch connectors. Cleaned the plastic piece, attached the light switch connectors back on and... the glove box light doesnt work now. Not only that, my ceiling lights stopped working and i think the clock stopped working too.

Any ideas?
