Congratulations, that is great to hear. Always fun to do a repair that gives such an immediate improvement in how it feels to drive the car. If only they were all like that eh?

hello!
I have to do all the rear bushings. The clunks I hear while driving are just terrifying now. It s a real bad feeling!! What technique do you think it s the best? A home-made press , or drilling into the center (that on seems harsh..!!) . I dont know if I would be able to diagnose them, do you think I would be better off if i'd change them all or should I be looking for priorities? For the moment, I just have the panhard et axle bushes. |

This has been frequently and extensively discussed on turbobricks.com and brickboard.com. Suggest you can search there.
From what I remember, you can press out and install the bushings with some homemade tools out of lengths of allthread rod, large sockets, washers, pvc pipes, etc. The trailing arms can deform and cave in as there is not enough reinforcement around the bushings so they like to weld in reinforcing plates.

Here is one guy's recipe. http://www.williammaloney.com/LandRo...voBushings.htm
I thought I remembered IPD used to sell a tool kit for doing this, but I don't see it now. Maybe discontinued.

thank you very much. I found very interesting threads on turbobrick, like you suggested.
IPD would have been a great choice but I dont think I can buy their products from France |
