WTB: Diesel 240 or 740/760

May or may not be ready to immediately buy but also depends on what’s out there…. Looking for a factory 240 or 740/760 diesel model. I owned a red block Volvo 240 a decade ago so I am familiar with Volvos. I do have the aptitude to maintain such a vehicle as I am a dealership technician, however I have not dove into diesels before. I am located in San Diego, CA but willing to go a little out of the way for one. If you own one that you aren’t thinking about selling right away I am still interested in speaking with you.

I have the number of a guy in Seattle who had a very clean and original 740 TD sedan for sale as of a few weeks ago. Silver, automatic. Sounded like a great one to start with.

Here's the 744 TD I mentioned above. I have spoken to this guy and he informed me that this belonged to his late father.

Don't see many original ones with low miles around like this. Looks like a great starting point despite a few needs!

The D24T/ZF drivetrain is the most desirable out of the options you listed.

Did you see the one I linked above? It's a nice car and still for sale. Now down to $6500 and bet he would look at an offer.

Seems like a great starting point, hard to find one original and low miles anymore.

Or if that's not what you're looking for, give a little more detail on your goals so we can better assist. Are you looking for 240 or 740? Manual or automatic? Sedan or wagon?
