Default D24 - Oil pump screw plug leakage

Hi!

It's my 2nd post on this fourm. After 700km after headgasket (and 2 years of sitting of this 240 from 1992) my only leak is from this plug. I think it's only place that i didn't reseal when i work on that engine (seals, orings, gaskets etc.)

I find that screw on catalogue scheme and greenbook but still i have questions:

- Can i remove it with oil in car? It will drip a lot of oil or just few drips? Of course on normal oil level and cold engine.

- If i remove screw (volvo 1328241) plunger (?) and spring will fell out? Can i put them in place without removing oil pump (so basically whole engine)?
Don't want to remve whole engine right now before winter at my driveway.

- There is any chance to put those parts backwards or both can be installed in different orientation?

This is theoretical as I have not done this but: If you have the car raised in the front (on jackstands or ramps) the oil level should be below the hole.

Remove it slowly and keep track of orientations. Take photos. Have a helper who can assist with the visuals.

Ok, i replace washer - everything went smooth - i even made short video for anyone who would be intrested how it look like: how much oil will spill if car is full, what parts are there and some OEM numbers, washer size, torque spec. It took me maybe 15mins of work. Hope it will be dry now

Washer size 22x29x1,5 - Volvo 18677
