I really like this John Deere tractor/farm equipment green enamel engine paint that I used. In real life it looks better.
When freshly sprayed, it did look a shade lighter and more `vivid` than what it looks in real life today. And I like it a lot.
The name of this paint is 'John Deere tractor and farm equipment' and I think it is made by Rustoleum.
With a very thorough cleanup and prep, and after multiple coats of engine high heat primers, it looked great even after the first green coat but I used three coats of green.

I also like the idea of a shiny black d24 engine but then you wont be able to see the little details of this rare beast. And, potential leaks can remain a secret for too long unless your car stays museum quality clean....rare sight under a diesel`s hood.

I have seen a blue engine too, on a d24 that was a marine engine, and that looked good, too.
To see the john deere color in a daylight video from many angles, watch this video...(i think i walked around the engine)
