Welcome to the forum, sounds like a great vehicle. We don't have the LT here but from what other UK/European members here have said, the turbo engine is rare and sought after in those vans.

Which ID plate is showing those markings? On the vehicle or on the engine itself?

The engine code is usually found on a flat area on the engine block on the left hand side of the vehicle (passenger side for you I would guess). Upper part of the block right below where it meets the head -- close to where the vacuum pump sits. Commonly mentioned codes are DV, DW, and I think there was an ACL as well and a few others. Not sure if we have ever seen a definitive complete list.

The "GR" code you mentioned is not a familiar one but it could be another variant also. Or it could be referring to something unrelated, if you didn't read it from that spot on the block.
