Yes I figured. I dont remember my battery going crazy but that doesnt mean it didn`t. It`s ok... It won`t be easy to get one though. Well, despite of all that rust,the tray still has lots of beef left in it. The holes got `wider` (I had to use large washers) It lost its edges too (I cut them away) but it`s sturdy, not bent or totally crispy, so it still holds the battery strongly, it just looks very ugly compared to the rest of the car
Actually, unfortunately, a certain part of the body, right under battery tray also got bad... I see rust-holes there, soon some welding will be necessary/=a must/ there. ( only the small triangle/square area under the battery.

`NOTHING LASTS FOREVER`
Entire area got cleaned.I was preparing for some rustproofing&underbody treatment right there but seeing all that `rust damage` I put myself on hold for a while. Too many projects going on (and dont have much free-time)... plus the riding season is here too. My other `86 toy is hungry for action but I won`t let the brick stay like that! OUCH
