Today I finally got some time to treat this area if only a little bit but at least something. I refreshed again the bad looking battery tray because I have had no luck finding a replacement!
I thoroughly wire brushed everything till bare metal with some surface rust left (necessary for chemical bonding) then I used a few layers of Locktite rust converter from a spray can then Rustoleum oil paint enamel primer 2x then I`ll add 2 coats of royal red Rustoleum oil paint using a brush, all of this as another temporary fix until it gets properly fixed by cutting out and welding in new metal. I`m still a lucky guy bc this is prob the only area with rust. Cheers!
