Very low fuel consumption!
Was driving a long distance with my mint condition 240 d24 and i used under 0,4 liters/10 km!!!:cool: 50 pounds in the tires, very good d24 with 0-40 synthetic and almost no pressure on the throttle...

Rough start with alot of smoke
My d24t is smoking very much when cold starts and runs very rough.

I work with big cat engines on crushers on work and i really like the engine colour. To hear on a cat engine every day at work with 10" pipe straight from turbo is the reason why i have d24t:D

The engine runs and start very well to have...
The engine runs and start very well to have broken cold start and 1 broken plug. I know the d24 very well but have never had oil in the water. I am very happay for a nice and good answer:)

Oil in the water....
I have oil in the water on a d24. Is the head cracked or can i be lucky it just be the gasket? Someone who has experienced this before? The pressure in the water is just fine and it cools wery well.

It is oil in the water but it runs perfectly when warm and no smoke on idle. It cools perfectly too.

I have changed between big and small starters...
I have changed between big and small starters many times and i never had problems. But the big starter on the na 240 is best because it rotates the engine very fast and that is important in cold.
