oil drain pipe from turbo

Hi, I'm after the oil drain pipe that returns oil back to the block from the bottom of the turbo.

Hi, need a new turbo core, just want to check exactly what it is . Any part numbers i can cross check. i presume its a t3 turbo. only number i could find is on it is L494351 54.

The turbo is original from 1984, it's knackered and weeping oil through the intake hence the black smoke on boost :o/

I've backed off the fuel screw quite a bit. It's only only hard acceleration and it's not too bad. I've also put in v power diesel. The retest is tomorrow. Is there a limit to how much I can back off...

When I accelerate hard its chucking out black smoke, which is how the test is done. Is there enrichment when accelerating?

Hi,
I feel i might already know the answer but... On starting I'm getting A LOT of white smoke from the exhaust and so much soot is coming out of the exhaust it's leaving a 2 foot black skid mark on...

Thermostat 80 degree

MEYLE 028 280 0001 THERMOSTAT COOLANT. Currently £9.16 on ebay . This is the 80 degree one.

Engine coolant routing.

I've put in an 80 degree thermostat. However the pipe from the top of the head to the radiator gets hot. Surely that would be a better place for a thermostat?
On a redblock you have the thermostat...

where do you get the one piece gasket from? It has been leaking from the valve cover gasket.

An m90 gearbox is a massive improvement over the m46. I do miss the OD green light on the dash though!

There's no cabled operated clutch on a 760. Maybe on an old 240. As the floor pan and dimensions are the same as a 940 (which had the M90) everything bolts on. Don't have to mess about with engine...

success!

It has been done. However it was a faff. I used a petrol m90 prop. you have to use the 3 bolt flange on the end of box. I'll do a write up shortly.
