Air in Injector Return Lines

I installed clear tubing on my injector return lines the other day.
All lines have lots of foaming/bubbles going back to the "out" port on the injection pump. Is this normal?

The car drives fine...

About a week after switching to the synthetic oil, (Rotella T6 5W-30) the oil consumption has increased to 1 quart every 150 miles....
