Update on the day after

I did a test drive today.

There`s a big difference.

Now the car pulls much harder (=stronger), starting from standstill in 1st gear and in every higher gear too, it `has more juice`/ it`s...

That crack looks thick in macro pictures but not so bad in real life.

I don`t know, Ngoma if the belts were weak at all. Instead it was often probably way too aged/worn (or simply not properly assembled).

For example, many of these cars often sat unmoved for years...

I haven`t replied yet because I forgot to make the time to do this fix.

The original diamond shaped egr exhaust manifold gaskets (3 fixes ago) were in extremely bad shape...

In my case this worked really well. I will not use a 'fully closed' socket anymore.
This one lets you clearly see how it gets positioned then you can do a safe job without hurting the two 'nipples'...

Bosch Duratherm (or spelled Duraterm?) 80010 is the best glowplug for these.

It is hard to do only for the very first time, even with good tea served :) but later many dieselbrickers manage...
