How you can support this forum
 

It's that time of year again at D24T.com. This forum owns its vBulletin software license outright (thanks Jason!) so our ongoing operating costs are very low. However, it still costs $100 per year to maintain web hosting and security support for the forum. The hosting bill comes due every December.

The most important contribution members can make to this group is to participate in discussions and share their knowledge: posting updates about projects, welcoming and helping new members, asking questions, or just sharing any new info or discoveries that help grow the information base and community here.

But for those wishing to contribute beyond that, small financial donations help offset the cost of keeping the forum online and are greatly appreciated. We have never had advertisements on here and want to keep it that way. Your financial support helps the forum continue to be an ad-free, friendly place to find valuable information and connect with others who share the interest. If this forum has helped you keep your vehicle on the road or saved you some money on repairs, this is the way to give back to it and ensure someone else will get the same benefit again in the future.

If you would like to donate, please send me a PM and I will give you options for how you can do so. This year, and going forward for future years, I will keep a public tally of progress towards the $100 total updated in this thread, so that once we get there it will be announced. Everyone who donates to the fund will have their user title changed to "Supporting Member" to show their contribution. :)

December 2020 hosting fund drive
 

It's December again and we are due to pay for another year of $100 web hosting for the forum.

It goes without saying that this has been challenging year for many, so spare funds may be harder to free up. That is understood and I will not be surprised or concerned if we don't hit the goal this year. If that's the case we can always make up the balance during better times.

On the other hand, every year we have new members who join and gain a great deal of helpful advice from experienced members -- often resulting in large savings on repairs or avoided problems as a result. This year has been no exception, even as the pandemic has turned all aspects of life upside down. :cool:

If you are one of those new members who has been able to get a lot of benefit from folks' help on here, giving a few bucks is one of the ways you can return the favor and pay it forward at the same time. Your support will help preserve this as a place where someone else in the future might be helped in the same way you were.

Those who donate will have their user title changed to identify them as a Supporting Member. Even small donation amounts still get us closer to the goal. Most donations are between $5 and $25. Progress will be tracked with updates in this thread.

As always, the most important contribution you can make is your time and knowledge in discussions on the board, helping other members and growing the information archive. So for those who choose to make their main, or only, contribution that way, you are supporting us as well.

Please contact me by PM for options if you would like to contribute. Happy and SAFE holidays to everyone in the upcoming weeks. This might be a good year to spend Christmas working on your D24T. :)

Thanks to several more contributions, we are now within a few dollars of $100, close enough to call it good for 2020, which we can all be glad is now over anyway. :)

Further contributions are welcome if there is anyone who would still like to throw in on the hosting. If we exceed $100 for this hosting bill, then the overage will be put towards the 2021 goal.
