Drove it one mile to brake shop. Master cylinder had what looked like dry mud-same in brake lines. All lines were soaked overnight in brake clean, blown clean, new master and front pads-brakes are perfect. Drove it 450 miles on a HOT summer day running perfectly. Turbo makes good boost. Trans shifts like new. Ham handed tow guy broke the collar on the shifter. Comes with new knob,collar, and OD button. Dash gauge lights barely on. Have new rheostat. Fuel gauge inop. Suspect tow idiots went into tank to drain old fuel as reported and didn't plug in correctly.Cracked taillight lens from tow yard-have replacement. New rear shocks put on by tow yard replaced nivomat so it's too soft and low. Comes with new standard rear springs to match the new shocks and lift the rear back to stock height. Also comes with new front shocks. Heater works, but no AC. Ancient tires. Perfect light project for the right person. I am in it over $5500. Price is $5000 FIRM. Hope it goes to an enthusiast who knows how rare a 83 turbo diesel is. Similar ones in Europe are priced around E14,000 euros. Thanks for looking.
