BrickWerks

Here is a D24 and D24T engine parts source I recently have begun using that has a very good selection of many parts that have become harder to find from other sources.

https://www.brickwerks.co.uk/

They are based in England but provide international shipping that is surprisingly affordable. The last order I placed with them shipped for under $20 for 5-7 day delivery. Prices for the parts themselves are lower than most US suppliers so I have found that the overall cost can actually be quite a bit less than buying the same parts here in North America, depending on what is needed.

The site is focused on the VW LT vans (and other vans) so while most engine parts are compatible with a Volvo application, some are not: buyer beware, some homework required. Good customer support by email for the couple of questions I sent to them.

Here is the 2.4L Diesel engine parts section on their site.

They even still sell new complete cylinder heads for under $1k! :)

FYI in case it helps anyone.

Thanks for that. I like that they offer 1-notch head gaskets.

I liked seeing those headgaskets too. Would be better yet if they offered the even harder to find MLS versions. Looks like they carry all three sizes but all are composition type.

Good to see that they carry both types of water pump that are usable on the D24/T, the original style:

and the hard to find in US, bolt on upgrade Eurovan AAB 2.4L 5cyl style that has the same housing and impeller but with a pulley with two fewer teeth for slightly faster rotation:

Both appearing to be good quality examples having cast metal impellers, not the stamped steel type that has been suspected to give reduced performance, or the plastic impellers that can fail.

I also like the injection pump triangle socket set they have, the smaller for the quantity adjuster on a TDI electronic pump and the larger for the governor lever side pivot bolts on the mechanical pump. I have a homemade version of the larger type that does not work very well, thinking about buying these as a much nicer upgrade.
