new suspesion

i am lloking something new for my 760, I saw Biltsein, Kayaba; sachs and monroe, all of gas.
Which brand do you recomend me for my brick.

Bilsteins 1st, sachs 2nd, haven't heard of Kayaba and I wouldn't use the monroes. The Bilsteins are going to be pricey but worth it.

Well, I found a list of Shock quality:
Quote:

Shock Brands. Consensus at Brickboard seems to be:

1. Bilstein HD: great shock, long lasting, very stiff but controlled ride
2. KYB: great shock, not as stiff as Bilstein HD
3. Koni: great shock, adjustable
4. Tokico: great shock, hard to find
5. Boge Pro Gas: great shock, long lasting, ride equivalent to OEM
6. Boge Turbo Gas: great shock, long lasting, stiffer ride than Pro Gas
7. Bilstein Touring: less expensive than HD, questionable quality (see Brickboard archive notes1 and notes2. Numerous reports of clunking and noise soon after installation.)
My car came with Koni damper, the advantage of the Konis is that they are adjustable, so, you can make them firmer or softer. But in quality/price, the Bilteins are better.

I forgot all about KYB. We sell KYB shocks for VWs at the shop, they are good quality and good price. They have a few different kinds depending what kind of ride your looking for. Honestly if they were available for the volvo thats probably what I would put in my own car if needed. Good all around in price performance and value.
