Who is stocking D24T gaskets in North America?

I usually order from Europe and wait, but is there anyone stocking gaskets and engine parts for our D24T's? I thought I had an intake gasket on the shelf, and it appears not even Worldpac stocks anymore.

autohausaz.com still has a good selection. Including intake gasket last I looked.

Sometimes have to look around at different applications. For example it might show an intake gasket for a 1983 Volvo 245 diesel but not for a 1984 760 turbo diesel. Same part of course, but the catalogs are not the best at this point in time.

FCP usually has some stuff too, eeuroparts, .... they are out there. Rockauto carries quite a bit too though their catalogs are also bad, they will happily sell you a distributor cap or a sparkplug for a D24 application, but if you know what you are looking for you can often get it. Even IPD has some parts for the diesels that they didn't used to. If anything overall I think parts availability has gotten easier in the last couple years after declining up until that point. IMC and Worldpac that supply real shops seem to have gotten weaker but sites that supply enthusiasts seem to be stocking more.

Of course don't forget about the Volvo dealer too, still doing a good job supporting parts for old diesels and often cheaper than you expect.

Just checked autohaus, here you go on the intake gasket, USD $3.99 in stock.

This came up correctly when I searched under 1982 240 GL wagon with D24, but did not come up at all when I searched under 1983 760 D24T. The trick is to know all the different years/models where the diesels were offered and be studious about trying all of them as the "application" till you find what you are looking for, or better yet put together a part number list and search that way. Volvo numbers almost always cross over with no hassles.

My feeling is that *everything* for these engine is still sitting on shelves all over North America, the trick is just trying to help vendors realize they have it and get them to sell it to you. ;)

Head gaskets seem to be hard to find in all thicknesses and materials.

Yeah good point, that is true. Maybe with the exception of a three-notch fiber gasket, those seem to be plentiful enough. Plus in the case of the HG even if you found a NOS one somewhere maybe you would hesitate to use it because of age.

Seems like ebay or europe are the answer for the HG.
