Sorry I have no experience with intercooler.

IP Timing will need to be reset after TB change UNLESS you can guarantee the camshaft has not moved AT ALL in relation to the crankshaft during the TB changeout and tensioning process. It is possible, but extremely difficult to achieve practically.

Even then, it's a good idea to recheck the IP timing even if you think nothing has moved during the TB changeout. With that, you're at least halfway to resetting the timing anyway.

So best to be prepared to retime the IP after TB changeout, in case the camshaft moves at all (probably will).
