Default Oil Filter equivalents UK?

Hi all -

although my D24T-powered Land Rover only covers 450 miles/year it is time to replace a neglected Oil Filter.

The last one was a 'Micro-Star OC 137/1' bought here in the UK.

Can someone tell me a more common type to search for?

Jeremy

Assuming that you have the stock filter still on the engine in the stock location?

I typically use a Mahle OC-105. There are Mann and Bosch equivalents also available here, probably still other options where you are. The D24T filter is the same one as used on a 2.5L gasoline 5-cylinder Volkswagen EuroVan (aka Caravelle or Transporter outside the US), may make it easier to find if your local parts guy's eyes go blank when you mention a 6-cylinder diesel Volvo engine...

My local Motaquip supply a FRAM part that they swear is to OEM spec.

My D24T is in a 1991 940 and I haven't found a motor factors yet that hasn't had it listed so you could just ask for a filter for this model...
