Default black 262c bertone going veggie deisel hotrod. HELP!

hello.

i've got a black '81 262c bertone that i was doing the converse v8 conversion on when i caught the veggie diesel bug. now i'm poised to build it into a veggie diesel hotrod. i need help in planning this thing.

here's what i have, or have on the way:

m46 with diesel bellhousing including shifter bracket for 200 series

engine crossmember mount thingies for d24

d24 oilpan/dipstick

trans crossmember from 200 series with d24

driveshaft from 200 series with d24

fuel tank sending unit from d24 200

fuel tank filler neck from d24 200

what else do i need? i think i've read that i also need the oil pickup from a d24 in order to install a d24t. is this true?

what about intercoolers? what is a recommended unit?

thanks.

hop on the ebay and get a same side IC that will fit your volvo

I picked one that has a core demension of 18Lx7Hx3.5D with 2.5inch in and out. works wonderously.
Sounds like a killer project!

i may have found a d24 right down the street from me. then i could just +t it and get this thing rolling.

i have a d24t exhaust manifold with turbo and oil return line still hanging from it.

i figure i should install a pyrometer while the manifold is not yet installed. what are some sources for a quality sender? i would like to use a vdo gauge that fits in the 200 series dash. any pics of the best installation spot for the sender on this manifold?

so i'm trying to plan exhaust.

i have been thinking of: 3" downpipe, 2.5" flex piece, to 2.5" out back, to tuneable muffler/exit.

what say ye?

i will be lowering the car, so i believe 3" will create some problems under the car.

the oil dipstick tube is not a problem.
on the 700 /900 serie it's go on the engine block and in the oil pan in the 200.
you can let the two if you want.

check they give the same oil level before removing one or the other !
