Monarch / Bosch nozzle find
This feels like I'm giving away a national secret!
As mentioned in my "snapped camshaft" thread I ordered some injector nozzles from Pyder Power through the "AliExpress.com" site here: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Fuel-...507090947.html It's the Bosch nozzle number 0 434 250 138 (DNOSD273) which is identical to the Monark nozzle number 039 305 138. Take a look at the picture for the really good news: Right, made in France!!! I don't know where they got these or how many they have but I ordered them on April 18th and received them on April 23rd, from Beijing...CHINA. Fifteen of them for $105, including shipping!!! That's $7.00 each! I'm not concerned about the "Chinese" quality since they are made in France, but I'll install them this weekend and post here how they function. Merry Christmas!! In April!

Interesting
But two of my friends independently told me best nozzles for d24xxx are DN0SD1930 with higher pressure setting (170-190bar), any experience? |

I don't have the green book in front of me but aren't the DNSO1930's the non-USA nozzles? I'm no expert in the area but found reference to the Monark nozzles here: http://www.d24t.com/showthread.php?t...ghlight=monark.
I know there's a difference in the swirl-chambers between US and non-US engines but don't have any experience with these nozzles (other than what I've read on here). I went to a local IP rebuilder and he's the one that matched the Monark part number to the Bosch number. The site also has the stock nozzles available for the same price if anyone is interested in just replacing them.

After you get the injectors put together can you post a video of the spray pattern?
There is only two pre-combustion chambers I'm aware of, 32mm and 30mm. They are the same type of swirl chamber so in theory the injector nozzles should be the same for both.

Well I think I got the last 27 of these France nozzles. I'm very curious to see what will be shipped out now, pyder power brand nozzles? I think these were old stock from a diesel injection shop that will now be manufacturing there own china nozzles.
A big thanks to Nevadan for finding this great find and helping with the purchase of these Jewell's.

I installed the "Monark" style nozzles (DNOSD273) today and will do a 300 mile road test tomorrow.
For adjusting the nozzle pressure I use these small pieces of tape measure cut to the size of the spacer. I just put them in first and then put the original spacer on top of it. Each one adds about 100 psi to the pop pressure. I also reuse the injector shields by pressing them back into the "unused position" with this ball bearing. I place it in a vise and just push the center back to its "new" position. And here's my pop tester with the huge faced gauge:

The injector shims normally have a hole in the center, maybe for fuel flow? Might want to drill or punch your homemade shims.
Do I see a marble in the 2nd photo? Did you try using it to reform the heat shield? Did it work?

Reforming the heat shields with a 1/2" ball bearing works great, I have been doing it for some time now, the hard part is to not stretch them to far allowing them to crack. I always check the heat shield by placing it on the injector tip to make sure it has reformed properly. It's a great way to save a few bucks on the ever rising price of heat shields.
