Default what now no heater hoses

hi does any one know whats going to happen we can't get O.E shaped heater hoses anymore ?

It's going to be expensive. Copper fittings and straight sections of heater hose, silicone or rubber.

hi thanks for reply ive seen online GATES green stripe hose very bendablewith a wire core . but over £60 you have to buy a 1500mm length

Good to know. Most of the challenge would be finding the proper copper reducer for connecting the sections to the large diameter thermostat housing.

Did you not see the replies to your same question in your other post?

Talks about using sections of readily available VW heater hose and commonly available 5/8" and 7/8" straight heater hose with some elbows and size adapters.

Hi JP, I was thinking about radiator hoses, I used 5/8 ID mil spec silicone hose for the heater hoses. It was not a difficult task. Radiator hoses have been available recently.

I soldered a copper fitting with a reducer and a ninety for the cooling system connection at the rear of the engine.

That silicone hose should last a good long while.

There is an L-shaped pre-formed hose that perfectly fits that section-- the rear of the block to under the IP-- from a typical VW Rabbit diesel. VW part number 171 121 611 E, I would imagine you could find it out there where you are.
