#6, Extended sitting sticks the vanes in the lift pump section, and occasionally metering parts.

OK thanks for the input. I will just use the pump that was in use more recently.

I got the other engine out of storage today and pulled all the accessories, manifolds, transmission, etc off it. Next step is to get it torn down and rebuild it instead of the other one. At least now I have two of everything and I can take whatever parts look/function better.

Oh and guess what - this engine had a good dipstick! One less part to search for now.

The turbo was stuck at first, but I put some fresh oil in the bearing and worked it free. Feels OK now but I don't know if it will seal right... I'll try it and see if it leaks once I get the engine done.
