You know, I don't think it is idle that hurts the trans, as I understand, pressure builds in the wrong spot during idle/neutral, and the harm is done after that when you engage a gear, so as long as you stop the engine, and wait for it to bleed down, you should be fine. I cuold be wrong though.

For a simple Drain, Filter, and Fill how much Fluid would a guy need to get?

Whatever it looks like the pan holds, 2-3 quarts? Filter change optional (see post #3, this thread).

Please guys what is recommended setting of kickdown cable ? I have the clip on cable 0.5mm (0.02in) from the end of the sheath and the trans with light throttle (for example in town) shifting in about 2200 rpms, I think that is too high, or not?
