D24TiC spigot/pilot bearing size
A friend, not me honest, was getting a 'specialist' to fit a Volvo D24TiC into his LT horsebox. Nothing we have read indicates that the gearbox mating is an issue, but the garage says otherwise.
I have rummaged around for hours but cannot find the size of the Volvo bearing. There were three sizes in the LT. 1 046 105 313 D / needle bearing (CH-engine, for example. INA F-85706, Da = 24 mm, Di = 18mm, B = 16mm ). If you order is the "embarked VIN to find the right wheel well", stated. Costs about 16 € (as of 2013). This pilot facility were Bj 1981-1988, also installed in the Passat. 2. 060 105 313 B / needle bearing f. Chassis no. »28-L-030 000 (eg. INA F-205070, Da = 24 mm, Di = 18mm, B = 20.5mm ), costs about 12EUR (Stand 2013). 3. 060 105 313 D / needle bearing f. Chassis no. »28-M-000 001 (eg INA F-215401, Da = 28 mm , Di = 18mm, B = 21.5mm ), costs about 20 ... 30EUR (Stand 2013). I can get the engine number, probably, but is it likely to be different from the later VW ACL engine specifications. ?Why machine crankshafts differently for Volvo? Thank you chaps.
