240 turbo diesel oil pan!
So I have been tinkering with the idea of how to easily/ cheaply build a turbo diesel 240 or two... I used a turbowerx scavenge pump and wolsten tech TDR connected to a oil pressure switch to pull the turbo drain and pump it into the oil pan on my current 240. That's an expensive route to go, I don't want to do it again.
So.. I can graft a d24t oil drain onto a d24 pan... End result one scrap pan, and so-so 240 turbo pan.. So I bought some aluminum and crafted a drain block and welded it to the 240 pan. I can use the stock d24t turbo and drain. I will be building a few of these, so if someone is interested in buying one, send me a pm! Here is a picture of the first "prototype". I need to do a few changes but it's a fully functioning turbo pan!

Looks legit. I think an 850t or S/V70T pan might also have the return fitting for you, and you can get 3-5 of those a run at the JY.

Nope, the whiteblock return is a hard line that goes into the block with an o-ring. No fitting, just a hole.

And another for good measure.

Looks great! I talked to a guy in CA last week who was looking for a stock D24 pan to build into a turbo pan but he might want to just buy one of these instead. OK to give him your info?

Hmm sounds like I need to start building some more.. Go ahead and pass on my info.
And another picture to thread. The drain blocks are built by hand, so there are some variances and then there welded via MIG. The drain block and pan are bolted to a d24 engine block to assure fitment. I would give the quality of the finished oil pan a B. If there was enough interest I could get the drain blocks machined and 'perfect' but the crowd wanting to have turbo diesel 240's is small.

They look good to me, I would figure as long as the gasket surface is flat, that's all that really matters.
If you have some uncut 240 pans around he might be interested in one of those instead since he sounds like he has some kind of non-stock setup and may have other ideas for where he needs the drain to be for his configuration. I'll put him in touch with you.
