Exclamation d24tic rebuilding

Hi

at this moment iam rebuilding the engine (D24tic) from volvo 740 estate.. but iam having some trouble to find specific parts..

any one can tell me here i can find the small oil injectors located on the engine block .. i dont know if I will need to buy the all injector or just the "head".. these oil injectores are the ones who lubrificate the piston base.

the other issue, is where i can find an oil pump (should it be of any brand in special?) at an affordable price for this engine.

it would be helpfull some online stores .

some photos of what Iam looking for:

on the left is the broken one.

THanks a lot
Cheers

There is only one person that I know who might have a spare one of those.
You would need to join the D24 list and look for Tom Bryant.

I used oil squirters from a vw 4cyl diesel of the same year. Got them from a vw dealer. They mount off the side instead of the back like the D24 squirters do. That is the only difference. I just made a tab that bolts to the mounting point and bends over the squirter to mount them. I hope this makes sense.

Good luck.

I was under the impression the VW diesel squirters were exactly the same as the D24's. Not true?

D24 don't have piston oil squirters, only D24T do.

The oil squirters on the 4 cyl engines are located on a different part of the block. Thats why pistons are available with 2 cutouts, to suit 4 and 6 cyl turbo engines.
