Default A world record?

I think we might currently have the largest number of Volvo Diesels located in one place right now, outside of a Volvo factory in the early '80s. Possibly an all time record.

I have three D24T 700 series cars, a D24 245, and an extra D24T drivetrain in my garage. At the shop where I work, we currently have two D24T engines on pallets, a 1986 745 TD in for service, and the shop owner drives a D24 240 sedan. That makes a total of nine D24/T engines, in six cars.

I think we deserve some kind of prize... I should take some pictures of them all in one place. Volvo Diesel overload.

I've got My TurboDiesel wagon, My Stock D24/M46 wagon. My little sister drives an '84 760 Turbodiesel sedan. My dad has an extra D24T I've got another D24T.
Then I've got 5 D24 Engines.

And that makes 10 D24 family engines with 3 of them running and driving around.

I know a guy with two D24 240's in the same town
Another dude, with 3 D24's and 1 in a driving car
Another dude with a rebuilt D24 in a wagon non running (still needs reassembled)

I am about to aquire a couple more D24 engines + Countless D24/D24T parts.. I am talking about two truck loads of misc parts.

plus I have costumers at work that own and drive D24 powered volvos. that total is 13.

Portland must have 50 - 100 D24 powered Volvo's I've seen a bit of them around town either at Volvos Only or driving on the street.

Jeez what a haul. Where did you score all that stuff -- chris bogue? Don't throw any of it away. I will keep you in mind if I ever need a diesel part.

Costumers, huh? What kind of costumes are they wearing? I guess you could think of a diesel Volvo as a costume of some sort...

I was kidding ya.

Just picked up another one this week -- an '86 745 TD automatic with a whopping 271k and badly in need of a headgasket. Total is now 5 Volvo diesels in the fleet. Can't.... stop.....

You guys make me sick! Volvo diesels around every corner to tinker with... I looked and looked for a year and a half before I found my ONE that was even half way close to me... Whats the plan? Fix it up and sell it to make some extra $$$? I have more than one car, but hell you cant drive them all!

Wow man, I thought I had a problem. I have seven Volvos myself but having five diesels at one time. I know someone selling a 1985 764 that has a blown headgasket for $500 if your looking for another turbo diesel

Dang I'm tempted.... is it a stick? I'd like to know more about it.

I will probably sell a few of them once I get them fixed but I'm not gonna make any money on it. I just hate to see these cars go to the crusher since there are so few of them left, and that's where most of my diesels were going to end up if I didn't rescue them. I guess it's a labor of love.

The 245 is for sale now, if anyone is interested...

I can't find the ad on CL anymore but I do still have the number if you really interested I'll PM you. The last owner was casioqv on TB. I was thinking of buying the car before I saw the wrecked 740.

I just got the TD home and going to take the motor out tomorrow
