Engine Mounts

For my 85 740gle d24t: Trying to order motor mounts online is confusing-- seems like each vendor shows different mounts. Most are short cylindrical shaped, but have various fastening bolt geometry. Some show bolts out from the center of the flat sides, others show bolts offset, with positioning stubs in the centers (D24T.com banner photo appears to show this variant), yet others show center bolts with positioning stubs offset...

Mine are so deformed it's hard to tell what it looked like new.

Anybody have any experience w/ the engine mounts?

Buy them from your nearest Volvo dealer, or orden them trought tascavolvoparts.com using the part number. Don't buy scantech mount, they (supposedly) fail sooner than genuine Volvo mounts.

Both mounts are different I could only get the drivers side at the local part store. and had to order the passenger side mount at the dealer.

D24T passenger side mounts are now only available through Volvo direct. $33 via Tasca.

May as well get a driver's side mount at the same time through them.

hmmm....I forget to mention, you can use...hockey pucks to make your own mounts.

Found them, under the 83 244 listing. Interesting that the description lists MTC/Ronak yet the photo for the right side mount

Are you sure the mounts for the 240 are appropriate for the 740?

240 and 740 mounts are NOT the same.

in your opinion how much it will cost me the engine mounts from a volvo dealer ???
