I have a new guy working for me with relatives in Sweden. Is there such a thing as a stock 240 Turbo Exhaust Manifold??

Turbo diesels only came stock in the 7xx series and later in the 9xx series over in Europe, so no. (at least not for a diesel)

Thats stock d24t parts off a 7 series. The tubing and such is aftermarket. I have seen these kits on ebay before. Different people put them together, but they weren't OE from volvo.

Jason, are you referencing the exhaust manifold in that link Verdigo posted? To me, it does not look like the stock D24T manifold: a) it does not look to be a 3-piece modular design, and b) it has a strengthening "rib" between ports, unlike anything I have seen before.

Am I seeings things, or is this manifold indeed rare?

That could be a later manifold off a Tic car... As far as I know volvo never sold a turbo diesel 2xx series from the factory. The manifold does look pretty beefy.. However, it looks kind of like a big box, rather than the more tubular type our cars have. ATS among other aftermarket companies sell 3 piece manifolds for the cummins engine as an upgrade... An upgrade to what we already have stock!

Agreed, a 3 piece manifold is the way to go for an inline 6 diesel to prevent it from cracking on expansion and contraction. I think a 1 piece cast manifold would be a major downgrade in terms of longevity/durability.
