Smile spiffy from cape cod, usa

Hello I am new to volvo diesels.
I recently purchased an 84 760 gl for 500 bucks.
It is consuming oil at an alarming rate. Most of the minor body functions and some of the electrical functions are messed up, the differential is grinding whining chattering howling and vibrating. I plan on rehabilitating the engine and transmission, and transferring them to my 240 which is in much better shape.
I understand I will need an oil pan from an n/a for clearance.

I'm glad to become active on this forum. I have already read lots of helpful posts so far.

Welcome to the site!
Sounds like a good plan. Is your 240 currently diesel?
I can supply you with a 240 oil pan that has been modified to accept the factory d24t turbo drain.

My 240 is currently with a redblock. I may take you up on that offer for the oil pan, thanks!
